Description

Louis XV pedestal with variegated timber top above C shaped frieze with acanthus shell scrolls supported by a tapering frame decorated with carved foliates at the knee. The four convex, hand painted panels are inlaid between the frame. The C shaped legs extend in a continuous curve as an extension of the frame and are finished with a scroll. The curved apron under the panels is decorated with carved foliage. The pedestal is available in walnut with gold detailing on the carving. It measures 3½ inches high x 1 ¼ inches square at the base.
