Sometimes referred to as a gossip bench. The Victorian parlor phone sofa seats one person comfortably. It has a small table at one end with one drawer. There is room on top of the drawer and under the tabletop to store books or papers. The timber frame of the elegantly shaped back has a carved, arch-shaped cresting. The upholstered seat is extended up over the scrolled arm. The back of the bench and arm are upholstered. The legs are cabriole shaped and the seat frame is carved. The telephone seat measure 4.5 inches long x 2 inches deep x 2.3" high. The tabletop measures 1.2" wide The settee is available in a walnut finish upholstered in a dusty pink damask.
